Security Associate

The Cedar Point Security Department is currently seeking individuals who are willing to dedicate the summer and fall months (May – October) accepting the challenge to work hard.  Helping to accomplish our goals of maintaining peace and order, protecting life and property at Cedar Point, assisting law enforcement and enforcing policies and procedures.  The experience you receive will help build a solid foundation to jump start your future career in criminal justice.

Non-commissioned Officer – Base wage starting at $16 per hour

  • Must be 18 Years of age to start
  • No felony or serious misdemeanor arrests/convictions
  • Able to pass background check

  • Training / Education / Experience in security/law enforcement preferred

Obtain valuable security/law enforcement experience and training in patrol, security screening and other aspects of protection enforcement.  Associate housing is offered during the seasonal operation for candidates with an address outside a 30 mile radius of Sandusky, Ohio.  A minimal weekly payroll deduction will occur to cover the housing fee.

Construction Worker

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Construction Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks on construction sites, including assisting with the building, repairing, and maintaining structures and infrastructure. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Preparation: Assist with site preparation by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and organizing materials.
  • Construction Tasks: Perform a range of construction tasks such as assembling scaffolding, flooring, hanging drywall, cabinetry, etc.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload construction materials and ensure they are properly stored and secured.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate construction machinery and tools safely and efficiently. Must know basic tool knowledge.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other construction workers, supervisors, and subcontractors and homeowners to complete projects on time and within specifications.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work for quality and adherence to project specifications, making adjustments as needed.
  • Clean-Up: Maintain a clean and organized work area by disposing of waste materials and ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Skills: Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials. Basic knowledge of construction techniques and tools.
  • Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety practices and ability to adhere to safety regulations.
  • Communication: Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Comfort working in various weather conditions and on uneven surfaces.

Wastewater Operator I

QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed
below. An example of an acceptable qualification for this position:
Completion of secondary education and six (6) months skilled maintenance experience, or equivalent;
demonstrable ability to understand system of mechanical and technical procedures, maintain accurate
records and perform manual labor. Must possess or be able to obtain a Class I OEPA Wastewater
Treatment Operator’s License and a valid Ohio Commercial Driver’s License with applicable
endorsements.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess or be able to obtain a Class I OEPA Wastewater Treatment Operator’s License and a valid
Ohio Commercial Driver’s License with applicable endorsements.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED: The following are examples only and are not intended to be all inclusive.
Pumps, electronic equipment, dumpster truck, backhoe, lawn mower, snow blower, various laboratory
equipment.
INHERENTLY HAZARDOUS OR PHYSICALLY DEMANDING WORKING CONDITIONS:
For purposes of O.R.C. 4167.
The employee: has exposure to noisy operations or activities; compressed gases; hand and portable
tools; human blood or other potentially infectious materials; hazardous chemicals; hot, cold, wet,
humid and windy weather conditions.
Note: In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this is
considered light work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: For purposes of 42 USC 12101.
1. Learns to operate wastewater treatment plant by performing job duties under direction of licensed
operator; tours plant and ensures plant operates within regulatory guidelines; confers with licensed
operators as necessary when collecting samples, observing meters, adding chemicals, recording
readings, etc.
2. Pumps primary sludge from settlers to digester; skims scum and grease from settling tanks;
replaces chlorine cylinders and regulates as instructed the chemical feed (chlorine, bleach, ferrous,
bisulfate, polymer, etc.); starts and stops and assists in making minor repairs to pumps, mixers,
motors and equipment.
3. Performs basic laboratory tests; confers with management as necessary to make appropriate
adjustments.
4. Maintains records and prepares reports related to plant operation and activities.
5. Visually inspects equipment to ensure proper operating condition; checks motors, pumps, blowers,
valves, compressors, screens, filters, and other equipment to identify routine operating problems;
performs routine preventative maintenance on equipment; notifies proper authority of major
malfunctions or mechanical break downs.
6. Performs custodial maintenance; tank cleaning; mows grass, paints, washes windows, dusts, mops,
etc.; handles hazardous chemicals such as acid, chlorine, lime, ferrous chloride, sodium hypo
chlorate, sodium bisulfate, polymer, and other chemicals as required.
7. Maintains required licensures and certifications.
8. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
9. Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to
essential functions.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Attends meetings, seminars and training sessions.

Lead Printing Technician – Aluminum Craft Beverage Cans

Role and Responsibilities

Be part of a growing and innovative industry and organization that provides decorated cans and can supplies across the nation. We strive to honor our customer’s brand by ensuring their design emerges as envisioned on the outside of the can, while safeguarding the taste and feel of the beverage.

In this role, our Lead Digital Print Operator will efficiently operate our Velox printer and automation machinery. This position is responsible for the successful production and delivery of 150 million quality cans annually.  Lagersmith will run 3 shifts, 24×5.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operate high-speed digital can press according to specified criteria and processes.
  • Print to proof targets, ensuring consistent accuracy and alignment to match customer specifications.
  • Maintain optimal print output to precise quality standards, conducting regular checks to ensure color fidelity and print clarity.
  • Complete and maintain documentation as per workflow process, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Perform and/or assist with daily preventative maintenance (PM) tasks as required.
  • Monitor and maintain ink levels, ensuring sufficient supply to prevent downtime.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and operational standards.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with print equipment, particularly in high-speed environments (preferred).
  • Highly skilled working knowledge of color management, with the ability to adjust and maintain color consistency across print jobs.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, capable of troubleshooting and resolving issues with printing equipment.
  • IT knowledge and proficiency to operate and troubleshoot digital print software and hardware.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make sound decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Above-average analytical skills to assess print quality and make necessary adjustments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively document processes and collaborate with team members.

Welder/Tacker

Job Description

As a welder/tacker you are responsible for the assembly of fuel tanks & systems, hydraulic fluid reservoirs, industrial battery trays & enclosures, and other custom metal fabrications.

Our welders/tackers are an essential part of our team and create quality products to exceed our customers’ expectations.

Job Brief:

We’re seeking a team member with a background in production related welding with a focus on quality, productivity, and dependability to join our team.

Tacker Duties:

· Selects equipment and plans layouts, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage and welding techniques.

· May be required to use Gas-Metal Arc, Flux-Cored Arc, Gas-Tungsten Arc, Submerged Arc, or Shielded Metal Arc welding processes.

· Lays out, positions, aligns and fits components together in various body positions.

· Bolts, clamps and welds together metal components of products using arc and arc gas welding equipment. May weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead position. May tack weld assemblies together.

· Obtain amperage, voltage and pulse as specified by procedure.

· Manually guides gun along weld-line, maintaining length of arc and speed and movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld, and size of molten puddle.

· May clean or degrease weld joint or workplace, using wire brush, portable grinder or solvent.

· May repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes. May remove excess weld, defective weld material, slag and spatter, hand scrapper or grinder. May cut metal plates or structural shapes.

· Examines welds for bead size and other specifications.

· Studies blueprints, work orders, or machining instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences.

· Lift and position work pieces, manually or with hoists.

Tacker Responsibilities:

· Observe & follow all safety policies and procedures in compliance with the organizational rules, while seeking continuous improvement. Responsible for his/her safety as well as that of his/her colleagues.

· Actively supports all Standard Technology activities, i.e. failure analysis etc.

· Supports all job functions by being cross trained in each area.

· Familiarity with ISO standards and requirements.

· Exercises independent judgment as needed.
