Public Safety
Learn law enforcement terminology, classification, and elements of crime. Discover how various court systems are used to judge and punish offenders. Collect and analyze evidence through case studies and simulated crime scene such as fingerprint analysis, ballistics, and blood spatter analysis. Learn skills necessary to prevent, detect, and react to crime. Learn self-defense and subject control techniques, methods to conduct patrols, surveillance and traffic procedures. Demonstrate skills learned in basic first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use of Automated External Defibrillation (AED), and APCO 911 Basic Telecommunicator certification.
