Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Production Assistant to support our print production workflow. This role involves working with large format printed materials—applying laminated sheets to a flatbed cutter, carefully weeding graphics, sealing, shrink-wrapping, packaging, and preparing products for shipment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a hands-on environment, follow directions well, and consistently maintain quality and speed standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Tasks

  • Place laminated sheets on flatbed cutting equipment with precision. 
  • Move materials to the weeding table and weed vinyl graphics carefully and efficiently. 
  • Perform sealing and shrink-wrapping of finished products. 
  • Package, label, and prepare orders for shipping according to company procedures.

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

  • Assist with setup and basic operation of printers, laminators, and cutters. 
  • Follow all safety procedures and equipment guidelines. 
  • Conduct light maintenance and keep equipment areas clean and functional.

Quality Control

  • Inspect materials and finished products for accuracy and defects. 
  • Make corrections or flag issues to the Production Manager as needed.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines. 
  • Communicate clearly and professionally within the team.

Inventory & Supplies

  • Track usage of materials and notify supervisor when supplies run low. 
  • Assist in organizing stock and keeping workstations tidy and safe.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination. 
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long periods. 
  • Basic familiarity with production equipment or willingness to learn. 
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a print shop, sign shop, or production environment. 
  • Knowledge of flatbed cutters, vinyl, or large format printing processes. 
  • Experience with packaging, shipping, or warehouse operations.

Construction Technician

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Thoroughly reviews his or her assignments in the project with the Construction Supervisor and understands his or her job.
  2. Performs quality construction work as directed by the Construction Supervisor.
  3. Understands the timing and allocated man-hours for his or her assignments and meets or beats the budget.
  4. Communicates daily with the Construction Supervisor regarding project progress and general issues; communicates important or emergency issues to the Construction Supervisor immediately.
  5. Participates in periodic project review meetings if asked by the Construction Supervisor.
  6. Ensures that required field reports are submitted accurately by the established deadlines.
  7. Requests project materials on an as-needed basis from the Construction Supervisor.
  8. Maintains the jobsite inventory in a neat and orderly manner.
  9. Inspects equipment assigned to the jobsite and rejects defective equipment
  10. Maintains a clean and safe worksite.
  11. Participates in job-site safety program and “tool box talks”.

Qualifications

Junior Hotel Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a reliable and skilled maintenance technician to join our hotel team. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance duties to ensure the hotel facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. Ideal candidates will have working knowledge of general construction, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, along with basic grounds keeping responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on hotel facilities and systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues (e.g., replacing outlets, light fixtures, water lines)
  • Handle basic electrical repairs (e.g., replacing outlets, light fixtures, circuit breakers)

Diagnosing problems and replacing vehicle engine parts, steering, transmissions, braking systems, lighting systems.  Performing preventative maintenance on vehicles.  Test-driving vehicles.  Maintaining detailed vehicle service records.  Adhering to vehicle inspection checklist.  Maintaining parts inventory.  Ensuring cleanliness and safety of garage.  Conducting monthly tire inspections.  Attending safety meetings and training.  Completing other work as assigned.

Light Maintenance Worker

LIGHT MAINTENANCE WORKER

Seasonal Position (2025 Summer Season May -September)                    

Up to 40 hours per week

Worksite: White Star Park Operations Center

Work Schedule: Generally – First Shift (7:00am-3:30pm)

Scope of Job:

Setup and operate manually or by CNC machine for production of the line of Company products.

Duties:

Essential Functions:

  • Must be able to work from process sheets, drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
  • Make all required adjustments or changes of machine setup.
  • Maintain machine and equipment in good operating condition by performing minor maintenance such as, cleaning of machine, maintaining proper fluid levels and lubrication.
  • Operate CNC machines in sequence as prescribed, standardized or controlled.
  • Set prescribed speeds, feeds and tooling or within limits select speeds, fees and tooling.
  • Check and indicate parts to ensure that tolerance parameters are being maintained.
  • Replace dulled or damaged tools.
  • Report all defective materials, tooling on programs and other unusual conditions detected to appropriate supervision.
  • Keep work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition follow standard safety regulations.
  • May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes (not over OSHA permissible exposure levels)
  • Ability to train other employees, as needed.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work place and equipment, free of FOD.

 

Chef/line cook

The Executive Chef shall:

  1. Work with the Executive Manager to best serve PIBYC.
  2. Keep regular hours Monday through Sunday as necessary for food service. The Executive Chef shall plan for evening and weekend hours to coincide with the progression of the seasonal prime time periods. The Chef, at a minimum shall be on duty for all scheduled daytime/ evening/ weekend events as needed including set up or to provide service for major events.
  3. Works with executive manager to help manage working hours so that either Exec Manager or Exec Chef are present during open hours. This may include opening or closing duties.
  4. Mentor and train food service employees including recipe management, food service safety, and the proper and safe operation of kitchen equipment.
  5. Review standard menu items and recommend menu additions and deletions in order to increase overall sales and profitability. Create food specials for weekly or special functions. Such functions may include but are not limited to, member memorials, member sponsored “something fun evenings”, community functions, associated functions, (Ladies Auxiliary, PIBCSS) or other calendared programs, recurring community and / or contractual affiliate (Mills Race, I-LYA, Blue Gavel) events.
  6. Ensure oversight of the use of the kitchen during non-service hours and by outside parties. Use of the kitchen facilities and equipment, without permission of the manager, shall not be tolerated. Reasonable time shall be allowed for preparation time and clean-up in conjunction with days having service hours.
  7. Order supplies and goods necessary to food service and maintain proper inventory throughout the season.
  8. Ensure proper cleaning methods are in place and followed on schedule to meet and exceed all sanitary standards set forth by the Ottawa County Board of Health.
  9. Create a workable, creative and efficient catering menu. Work with the Executive Manager with executing all aspects of special events, including ordering, staffing, preparing for large events.

Wastewater Operator I

QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed

Completion of secondary education and six (6) months skilled maintenance experience, or equivalent;
demonstrable ability to understand system of mechanical and technical procedures, maintain accurate

endorsements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: For purposes of 42 USC 12101.
1. Learns to operate wastewater treatment plant by performing job duties under direction of licensed
operator; tours plant and ensures plant operates within regulatory guidelines; confers with licensed
operators as necessary when collecting samples, observing meters, adding chemicals, recording
readings, etc.
2. Pumps primary sludge from settlers to digester; skims scum and grease from settling tanks;
replaces chlorine cylinders and regulates as instructed the chemical feed (chlorine, bleach, ferrous,
bisulfate, polymer, etc.); starts and stops and assists in making minor repairs to pumps, mixers,
motors and equipment.
3. Performs basic laboratory tests; confers with management as necessary to make appropriate
adjustments.
4. Maintains records and prepares reports related to plant operation and activities.
5. Visually inspects equipment to ensure proper operating condition; checks motors, pumps, blowers,
valves, compressors, screens, filters, and other equipment to identify routine operating problems;
performs routine preventative maintenance on equipment; notifies proper authority of major
malfunctions or mechanical break downs.
6. Performs custodial maintenance; tank cleaning; mows grass, paints, washes windows, dusts, mops,
etc.; handles hazardous chemicals such as acid, chlorine, lime, ferrous chloride, sodium hypo
chlorate, sodium bisulfate, polymer, and other chemicals as required.
7. Maintains required licensures and certifications.
8. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
9. Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to
essential functions.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Attends meetings, seminars and training sessions.

Lead Printing Technician – Aluminum Craft Beverage Cans

Role and Responsibilities

Be part of a growing and innovative industry and organization that provides decorated cans and can supplies across the nation. We strive to honor our customer’s brand by ensuring their design emerges as envisioned on the outside of the can, while safeguarding the taste and feel of the beverage.

In this role, our Lead Digital Print Operator will efficiently operate our Velox printer and automation machinery. This position is responsible for the successful production and delivery of 150 million quality cans annually.  Lagersmith will run 3 shifts, 24×5.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operate high-speed digital can press according to specified criteria and processes.
  • Print to proof targets, ensuring consistent accuracy and alignment to match customer specifications.
  • Maintain optimal print output to precise quality standards, conducting regular checks to ensure color fidelity and print clarity.
  • Complete and maintain documentation as per workflow process, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Perform and/or assist with daily preventative maintenance (PM) tasks as required.
  • Monitor and maintain ink levels, ensuring sufficient supply to prevent downtime.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and operational standards.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with print equipment, particularly in high-speed environments (preferred).
  • Highly skilled working knowledge of color management, with the ability to adjust and maintain color consistency across print jobs.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, capable of troubleshooting and resolving issues with printing equipment.
  • IT knowledge and proficiency to operate and troubleshoot digital print software and hardware.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make sound decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Above-average analytical skills to assess print quality and make necessary adjustments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively document processes and collaborate with team members.
